From the Wepeners, 12 July 2010:
The Lennings Rail train is standing “camped out” in Bothaville station. We hear that the Vierfontein to Viljoenskroon line is being relaid with new sleepers. Saw loco 34 031 at Hennenman on the way to Whites with a load of timber for Friedesheim.
At Bothaville we saw loco 34 093 shunting at the petrol siding. At Friedesheim, 34 031 was shunting at the Mondi timber sidings. At Virginia, 34 093 had just brought empties from Glen Harmony and carried out some shunting at the ballast siding. At Wesselsbron a Road/Rail Isuzu truck came through the station, checking the points at the triangle. Near Theunissen a northbound ore train was noticed behind two class 6E1s. Class 6E1 no 1402 was waiting in Theunissen station, waiting to couple to the northbound car train, making a three-loco header. Between Welgelee and Virginia a short southbound train of petrol tankers was seen behind E 1307 & E 1633.
